Sunday is National Sandwich Day and a survey was recently conducted to ask what people would choose as their favorite sandwich. The number one answer: Grilled Cheese!
So here’s some tips I’ve gathered over the years:
MAKE SURE BUTTER REACHES ALL THE WAY TO THE EDGE
This tip came from a former co-host of mine that swore that the key to the BEST grilled cheese sandwich was how you buttered it. I would tease him about his cooking skills and how he always ordered from the kid’s menu (haha) so I am willing to bet he knows a good grilled cheese!
USE MAYO INSTEAD OF BUTTER
I can’t remember who came up with this little trick but I’ve tried it and it’s not bad. It browns and caramelizes a little different than butter so it adds a unique flavor.
MY FAVORITE: ADD A LITTLE ZING
I know not everyone likes spicy things but a little pepperjack is my trick for the best grilled cheese. I’ll use an entire slice of pepperjack along with some cheddar or colby (but you can use American cheese if that’s what you like best). If adding an entire additional slice of pepperjack cheese would be a little too much for your tastebuds, just use a sprinkle of shredded pepperjack. It’s worth it!

Movie Review: Roofman
I’m going to start out by saying that I love Channing Tatum, so I’m completely biased. COMPLETELY. That being said, aside from my admiration, he is a really good actor. And don’t scoff at that…. he is! He has range. He can ham it up in slapstick comedy movies like 21 Jump Street (2012), dance […]
