Mike McKay
Mornings with Mike McKay
Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!

Now that’s good news!
Every weekday morning around 6:15 I start the show with a “Feel Good” story. It’s a way to start our day with at least one positive story. I’d love to share local stories as well as stories from across the country and that’s where you come in. If you know of a person or organization […]

Thank you is not enough
I wish there was something that could be said to show or express the gratitude I have for U.S. veterans. I have so may family members and friends who have served or are currently serving in the military. What do you say to really express in words to the people that are responsible for the […]

Tough day for Chippewa Falls
Sad news about Molson Coors closing the Leinie’s Brewery in January. I feel so bad for the employees, many that have spent their lives working there. Also, for the city of Chippewa Falls. Most of our friends or family members that have come to visit have always wanted to make a visit for a tour. […]

This must stop!
Isn’t it time to stop turning the clocks back an hour? Some states have done away with it, what about us? I’ve been told if we stop it’ll throw our ‘system of time’ off and centuries from now we’ll be dark when it’s ‘day’. I’m not a scientist but I say let’s give it a […]

It only takes 38-seconds!
In case you missed it this morning, it only takes your friends and family, 38-seconds to judge you on your homes appearance. According to a recent survey people will quickly scan your home and make a judgement about how clean it is, if it “smells nice”, and how much you care about your surroundings. This […]
