10 hot dogs, 8 buns!

It’s the age old question, why do they sell hot dogs in packs of 10 but the buns in packs of 8? The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council has spoken and this is what they say about it. Hot dog bun makers bake in clusters of four in pans designed to hold eight rolls. So, what they’re saying is, that’s just the way it is. Now, here’s the way to beat the system to not have unaccompanied hot dogs or buns, buy 5 eight-pack bags of buns and 4 10-pack bundles of hot dogs. Yep, 40 of each. Of course that’s a lot of hot dogs and buns. Time for a cookout with the fam!
