The 90th Assembly District includes part of Brown County, including most of the city of Green Bay, in eastern Wisconsin.
Jimmie Kaska, Civic Media StaffWISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Democrat Amaad Rivera Wagner has been called the winner of the race for the 90th Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call on Wednesday.
The Democratic Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered very likely Democrat with a projected margin of 16 points.
Rivera Wagner is currently the chief of staff to Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, and is also the co-chair of the Greater Green Bay chamber’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.
He defeated Republican opponent Jessica Henderson, a political newcomer who has worked as a case manager.
The seat was open after Democratic incumbent Kristina Shelton decided not to run.
