Susan Crawford currently serves as a Dane County Circuit Judge and is running to replace the retiring Ann Walsh Bradley on the State Supreme Court. Both were recently in Richland Center campaigning. In her meet and greet, Judge Crawford emphasized that the State Supreme Court race is not about politics, but the law and rights of Wisconsin citizens.

The 2024 word of the year was polarization. WRCO News asked Crawford how you get past that in the courts.

She said if elected she would remain independent on the court.

Susan Crawford and former Wisconsin Attorney General, Brad Schimel, are both vying for the soon to be vacant seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The election will be held April 1, with the winner to be seated following the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.
