River Falls Residents Asked to Participate in Community Survey
ST. CROIX COUNTY, Wis (WSCM) – River Falls residents are being asked to participate in a community survey to evaluate government services and quality of life in the city.
City of River Falls officials say the data obtained in the survey will help shape future policy decisions. Any resident 18 and older is being asked to complete the online survey. A random sample of residents may have also received a copy of the survey by mail over recent weeks. It will be available online until Sunday, July 13.
The survey seeks to identify what local residents think the city is doing well and what they would like to see improved in the future. It covers a wide variety of city services, as well as policies from economic and community design to inclusivity and environmental concerns. Officials hope the results will show the strengths of the city, which issues matter most to residents, and what services could be improved.
The survey was developed by the National Research Center at Polco, meaning the results can be compared to similar municipalities across the country. City officials conduct the survey every two years for updated community input. The results of surveys from previous years are available online.
Community surveys have become a popular way for government officials to prioritize plans for the future of their regions. The City of Prescott recently conducted a survey seeking public input on safety concerns for cyclists and pedestrians. Western Wisconsin residents have also been asked for input on long range transportation plans between Eau Claire and the Twin Cities.
