What a fun week! Here’s some of what went down on the show.

  1. Music! Lots and lots of music!
  2. Can’t find a date? It could be your driving. 56 percent of singles say they won’t date a bad driver.
  3. A planeload of people were forced to fly around in circles over the Mediterranean when the pilot couldn’t connect with French air traffic control. The airline eventually got a hold of the airport fire department to check on the air traffic controller. They had to wake him up. He decided to take a 20 minute NAP. His employment is under review. (I can’t wait to fly again!)
  4. A 60-year-old Pennsylvania man was upset after his local Walmart store banned him from shopping with his “emotional support” animal. The store manager said he wasn’t allowed to bring his emotional support alligator in the store anymore. (I guess I’ll have to leave my emotional support tiger at home next time I go to the store, bummer)
  5. A new study says Newark, New Jersey is the worst city in the U.S. to get a good nights sleep. The best city to sleep is Lincoln, Nebraska. (No one in Lincoln celebrated the results. You know, because they were all sleeping)
  6. Scotland recently held its annual World Stone Skimming Championship, and the event was marred by a cheating scandal! Several competitors admitted to using stones that were machine-shaped. They were disqualified. Next year contestants will not be allowed to bring their own rocks.

That was just some of the goodies, enjoy the last weekend of Summer 2025 and let’s do it again next week!

Mike McKay
Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
