What a week! Was it cold enough for you? But we’ve turned the corner and we get some more ‘seasonal’ type weather for the next few days anyway. Here’s some of what happened this week on the show.
- A ton of great music!
- A Florida woman showed up at 3am at the apartment of a guy that stood her up for their first date. She attacked him, he called police, she was arrested. What do you think, will they have a “2nd date”?
- The Guinness World Record for the most golf balls hit into a target area in 12 hours is 9,959. That’s an average successful hit every 4.33 seconds.
- Researchers in Europe studied nine ancient Egyptian mummies using “trained human sniffers” and an electronic artificial nose and found that mummies aromas were “woody,” “sweet,” and “spicy.” They hope to recreate those smells at museums. Scratch and sniff mummies, can’t wait!
- More than 150 billion Little Debbie snacks have been sold since the brand was introduced in 1960. The picture of “Little Debbie” was the granddaughter of O.D. and Ruth McKee, the founders of McKee Foods, a family bakery.
- Lack of snow caused a tourist village in China to use large cotton wool sheets on the ground and on top of houses, but didn’t tell anyone it wasn’t real snow. The Chengdu Snow Village says it “deeply apologizes” for the fake snow and has offered refunds.
As always, thanks for listening! Have a great weekend.

Most of us love to “celebrate” Cinco de Mayo, but what is Cinco de Mayo really about? A lot of people think it’s Mexico’s independence day, but that is actually in September, September 16th to be exact. Cinco de Mayo honors, May 5, 1862, when a smaller, poorly equipped Mexican militia led by General Ignacio […]
