It’s another amazing week on the show, and as always a BIG thanks to you for listening. Here’s a bit of what happened.
- Music, music and more music!
- Australia’s version of the Tour de France bike race had a wild finish when two kangaroos decided to cross the road just as the racers were headed into the final stretch. The ‘roos bounced away unharmed, the racers were not seriously hurt. (Do they tell the racers, you may get hit by a kangaroo during the race? That’s something I would want to know)
- LEGO teamed up with Crocs to unveil the first-ever LEGO shoes that look like giant red LEGO bricks, but with a hole for your foot. They cost about $150.
- Research shows the average retiree starts getting bored just over a year into retirement.
- Remember Michael Jackson’s BFF, his pet chimp Bubbles. The 43-year-old is living his best life at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida. He’s been there since 2005. His keepers say he enjoys a peaceful life in a naturalistic environment with other chimpanzees, engaging in activities like painting and climbing. (He also loves to wear a hat and one glove when he “moonwalks” like Michael did)
- According to a poll, one in five women and one in six men believe that the winner of big games like the Super Bowl are picked in advance. (not true, but the playoff games are!)
Thanks for listening, have a great weekend and let’s do it again next week!

Most of us love to “celebrate” Cinco de Mayo, but what is Cinco de Mayo really about? A lot of people think it’s Mexico’s independence day, but that is actually in September, September 16th to be exact. Cinco de Mayo honors, May 5, 1862, when a smaller, poorly equipped Mexican militia led by General Ignacio […]
