Mental Border Battle

Sometimes being a football fan is really hard. You want to support your team 100%, no matter what is going on, but it’s not always easy. Especially when you are from one state but live and work in another. I was born and raised in Minnesota and will always be a lifelong Vikings fan, but the Packers have always been my number two team. That probably makes me a rarity, as most Vikings fans dislike the Packers. I suppose being a fan of both teams is an easy out for me, allowing me to be a fair weather fan of either team, depending on how they are doing. That would be fair to assume. I guess you could call this a mental border battle.
Opening week of the 2024 season went a little better for the Vikings than the Packers. But if you know the Packers, this will not be a deterrent. They are going to get up, dust themselves off, and start winning games. And if they don’t, I can always fall back on my Minnesota Vikings disappointing me later in the season.
Go Vikes! Go Pack!

Uh oh, Mosquito!
So, it seems like we are now in the thick of prime mosquito season. Historically, I would get bit by a mosquito, smash it, and move on. The itching would start usually later that day and would continue until I scratched the bite open, it would bleed, scab over, and then heal. It has been […]
