On the phone with my husband last night and I said:
“I really want a Turtle Sundae.”![]()
He immediately said, “No you don’t. You might think you do but that’s way too messy.”
Confused, I said: “What? They’re not any messier than…”
He cuts me off with: “No. No. We’d have to get an entire enclosure and it’s going to start to stink.”
I just start bursting laughing…
But he kept on: “You won’t be laughing when you have a stinky house. You would never.”
I’m dying at this point. ![]()

Him, completely serious: “I don’t think you realize…”
Me (once I could breathe again): “Ice cream! Vanilla ice cream, caramel, hot fudge, and pecans.”
… silence…
Then he starts laughing, hard.
“I thought you said you wanted a turtle someday.”![]()
