In The Kitchen with Laura McKenna: Grapes

You know I’m a big believer that food is medicine. And I’m also a huge fan of grapes. I snack on them pretty much daily.

With summer sun on the horizon, a lot of people are worried about sun damage to their skin. Could grapes be the magical cure?

Researchers at Western New England University conducted an experiment involving eating three servings of whole grapes each day for two weeks.  The results show an increased keratinization and cornification (big words that help form the skin’s protective outer layer against environmental damage).  Researchers say this leads to improvements in skin health.

This is great news, right? Who is going to pass up eating grapes? They’re delicious.
