It’s a big day today and there’s a lot going on!
Inauguration Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, the NCAA football National Championship with my Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame… and it’s a Movie Monday!
One of the most popular movies centered on Martin Luther King, Jr is Selma (which was released in 2015). Here’s another great list of movies and shows to watch to pay tribute: Best Movies and TV Shows About Martin Luther King Jr. | Moviefone
If you’ve been watching coverage of the Inauguration and missed any part of today’s Movie Monday, never fear! Here’s some cliff notes to catch you up:
The little ones will be excited! The upcoming Minions movie, Mega Minions, will be released a little sooner. Instead of the summer of 2027, the new release date has been announced as July 1, 2026.
Timothée Chalamet recently starred in the movie A Complete Unknown which came out on Christmas Day and this upcoming weekend, he’ll act as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live!
But funny story about Timothée- he’s just like one of us! You’d think he would be so famous that he’d have a driver to chauffeur him around to his big movie premieres. I’m sure drivers would have lined up for that job but Timothée chose to drive his e-bike to the London premiere of A Complete Unknown. However, he was fined $73 for improperly parking it!
If you missed Gladiator 2 in theaters, you’re in luck. It begins streaming tomorrow on Paramount+!
