If Tom Cruise is in a movie, I’m putting it on my list because I want to watch it. I’m a big fan.
But even those that are just so-so on the Tom Cruise love can’t deny, the man puts everything he has into his performances.
I haven’t seen the Mission Impossible movies yet (I know, what am I waiting for?!?!) but with the latest, Tom Cruise is now the holder of a Guiness World Record for his stuntwork.
His own stuntwork, I might add.
One scene in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, shows secret agent Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise), jumping from a helicopter in a parachute that catches on fire in mid-air. Tom Cruise is a perfectionist, we know that. So he repeated that particular stunt 16 times to get it perfect.
Guinness World Records said with the stunt, Tom Cruise has now officially set the record for The Most Burning Parachute Jumps By An Individual.
Guinness’ editor-in-chief said Tom Cruise “doesn’t just play action heroes, he is an action hero.”
I’m gonna raise that bar even high. Action here, sure. But in my opinion, he’s a beast!

Movie Monday: Oscar winning actress teams up with James Patterson for a new legal thriller novel
I love a good book. Even better when a great book gets turned into a really good movie. It doesn’t always happen. Usually the book is always so much better than the movie but I can think of a few that really did it well: Water For Elephants. Gone Girl. The Shawshank Redemption. The Green […]
