While Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas officially began in mid-October with new holiday movies and series, I have to wait until after we take the Halloween decor down before I can jump aboard.
I’m a one holiday at a time gal, what can I say? But now that Halloween is over, spooky movie season is out and holiday movie season is in full swing!
Here’s the official line-up for all your cheesy romantic holiday needs:

Get ready for the big city CEO to return to her hometown and fall in love with the small town baker (or plumber, or innkeeper, or long-lost love, and on and on and on). You know the plots but that never stops millions of people from getting sucked into to all the sappy flicks. Curl up with some hot cocoa and let your heart be warmed.
For me, I’ll still be over here watching my horror movie thrillers long into the new year! I’m all about the chill.
Have a great movie to recommend? Email anytime, Laura would love to hear from you: [email protected]
And tune in weekdays starting at 10am to St. Croix Country & WCFW
or starting at 9am weekdays on 97.9 FM WGBW!

Movie Review: Crime 101
If you’re looking for a great heist movie, I think you’ll love Crime 101! The performances by Halle Berry, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo were fantastic. And if you watched The Banshees of Inisherin (2022), Barry Keoghan plays a totally different character in Crime 101 (2026). And he’s really, really good, too! In fact, when […]

In The Kitchen with Laura McKenna: Dyeing Easter Eggs…Naturally
When I think of Easter Eggs, I think of egg salads sandwiches (and now I want to eat one!) So I think it’s really important to know what you’re dyeing those eggs with because what seeps into the shell can seep into the egg itself. And who wants to feed extra chemicals to their family? […]
