I can’t even believe I’m about to say this but I watched a Lifetime movie with Mom over the weekend… and… it wasn’t bad.
I never thought I would be saying that.
It all happened when she was flipping through the channels and landed on the beginning of a Lifetime movie. I rolled my eyes and she laughed.
But then I saw a familiar face and a muscly man walk on screen.
“Oh, wait. That’s Taye Diggs!”
“How do you know?”, she laughed again. “I thought you didn’t watch these Lifetime movies.”
Well, to be clear, I don’t. I lump them into the same cheesy, predictable category as the Hallmark movies. But, Taye Diggs was standing there looking all fine like Taye Diggs does so I had to watch a little bit.
Then pretty soon, two hours later, the credits rolled.
And I must say I didn’t hate it.
Was it predictable? Yeah.
Did I mind? Not really.
Was Taye Diggs just as hunky as I remembered? Also, yes.
So if you happen to come across His, Hers, Ours, I think you might like it. And that’s saying a lot, coming from me.

Movie Monday: Oscar winning actress teams up with James Patterson for a new legal thriller novel
I love a good book. Even better when a great book gets turned into a really good movie. It doesn’t always happen. Usually the book is always so much better than the movie but I can think of a few that really did it well: Water For Elephants. Gone Girl. The Shawshank Redemption. The Green […]
