I’ve always thought one word titles of books and movies usually end up being the best. There are always exceptions, of course.
I remember seeing the previews for Drop (2025) earlier this year and thinking- “Ohhh, that looks good! And it’s a one word title!”
So when my parents were in town for the weekend and we were looking for a good movie to watch on Saturday night, I came across it again and we watched it.
One Worder success – we all enjoyed it a lot! The suspense kept us on the edge and hanging on to the very end. Did it have some unbelievable plot points? Yeah. But it was a good enough movie to overlook all those and just enjoy the wild ride.
Plus, Brandon Sklenar. He’s the IT guy for the year, in my opinion.
He was recently in the movie It Ends With Us (2024), Green and Gold (2025), and he’s in the upcoming The Housemaid (2025) alongside Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. You may also recognize him from the show, 1923. He plays Spencer Dutton.
He’s a cutie…and in addition, a really good actor.
You’ll like him a lot in Drop. You’ll also fall in love with the little guy playing the son, Toby. Jacob Robinson is on par with the little boy in Jerry Maguire (1996). Remember how stinking cute he was? A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
So while there is a ton of football to watch over this holiday week of Thanksgiving- put Drop on your list, too. I liked it.

Movie Monday: My most anticipated movie of the year
I cannot wait for this. You know that when I’m at home, I have Court TV on my television non-stop (except for the occasional break for Friday Night Dateline and football), so I watched both of Karen Read’s trials. There were two in total, counting the retrial which just wrapped up this summer. Currently there […]

Movie Monday: This one’s for the football fans!
I love a good sports movie- especially those that are based on real people and real teams. Even though we’ll have to wait until Thanksgiving 2026 to see the new John Madden movie starring Nicolas Cage, I think it’ll be worth the wait! The new movie will be based on the NFL coach’s life and career. […]

As you all know, I’m not one to watch a sappy Hallmark Christmas movie -so don’t worry, there’s minimal sappiness here. Just a really cute holiday movie. If you’ve ever felt like your holidays are nothing but madness and planning and prepping and wrapping and running… you’re going to love Oh. What. Fun. (2025). Michelle […]
