As 2024 comes to a close, the annual Best Of Lists come out and boy, do I love a good list!
Spotify put out their annual Most Streamed of the year and here’s how it shook down:
No surprise: Taylor Swift was the most streamed ARTIST of the year globally for the second year in a row. She also captured the top spot for the most streamed ALBUM: “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology”.
But what’s strange is that she didn’t have the most streamed Song of the year (or even one in the Top 5).
Here are some Top 5’s from the Spotify U.S. charts:
Most Streamed Artists:
1. Taylor Swift (Also #1 globally.)
2. Drake
3. Zach Bryan
4. Morgan Wallen
5. Kanye West
Most Streamed Albums:
1. “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology”, Taylor Swift (Also #1 globally.)
2. “One Thing at a Time”, Morgan Wallen
3. “Short n’ Sweet”, Sabrina Carpenter
4. “Stick Season”, Noah Kahan
5. “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess”, Chappell Roan
Most Streamed Songs:
1. “Espresso”, Sabrina Carpenter (Also #1 globally.)
2. “Not Like Us”, Kendrick Lamar
3. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, Shaboozey
4. “I Had Some Help”, Post Malone featuring Morgan Wallen
5. “Million Dollar Baby”, Tommy Richman
And technically, these aren’t really considered music but let’s add to the list of list….
After all, I love a good list!
Most Streamed Podcasts:
1. “The Joe Rogan Experience” (Also #1 globally.)
2. “Call Her Daddy”
3. “This Past Weekend with Theo Von”
4. “Crime Junkie”
5. “The Daily”
