Who’s ready for the weekend? Monday is Memorial day and we all need to take some time to reflect and thank those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Here’s some of what went down this week on the show.
- Music, tons of great music!
- A 5 year old in Pennsylvania got in some trouble when he brought some jello from home to share with his kindergarten classmates. Problem was, it was jello shots! No kids were hurt but his mother had some explaining to do about how he got his hands on the “treats”.
- The U.S. Department of Energy says we should have our a/c units set at 78 degrees in our homes, to save money and energy. (can we check the offices in D.C. to see what THEIR thermostats are set on?)
- Grilling a Twinkie is a thing. (you bet I’m trying it this weekend!)
- The vast majority of cellphone users ‘panic’ when their phone charge falls below 38 percent.
- $104. That’s the amount of cosmetics the average woman carries in her purse. (my wife doesn’t. If she did she wouldn’t have room for my stuff)
- Did you know it’s ok to use a coupon on a “first date”? It is!
We did that and more. Have a great weekend and let’s do it again next week! Have a fantastic weekend.

Have fun and watch out because the orange barrels are in full bloom along the roadways. One more thing, grab the free Civic Media app and take us with […]

Pour me a cold one!
It’s National Root Beer day! There’s so many different types to choose from, but where did it actually come from? Pharmacist Charles Elmer Hires was the first to successfully market a commercial brand of root beer. Hires developed his root tea made from sassafras in 1875, then debuted a commercial version of root beer at the […]

Spent The Last Week Rocky Mountain Way!
So good to be back after an awesome 10 days in Loveland Colorado. My wife Lori grew up in Loveland and her best friend’s daughter got married so of course we wouldn’t miss that great occasion. It’s been years since we’ve been to Colorado and it did not disappoint. Loveland is in the foothills of […]
